Compare
to Other Stands
The One Man Stand (OMS) is a superior replacement for
out feed support systems including roller stands, Flip Top stands, and most table extensions.
-
The
OMS will raise the work piece up 3-1/2", where as
the ball roller
offers 1/2", the cylindrical roller offers 1",
and the Ridgid Flip Top offers 2" maximum rise. This
exceptional rise allows greater distance from the saw
and much less adjusting. Therefore, the OMS is simple to position, and only one person is needed to handle a variety of material.
- Due to the sliding motion on the OMS support, the work piece will not side track as shown below. Therefore, angular alignment is not necessary. These problems are common with the cylindrical roller.

- Ripping
narrow pieces is impossible with a ball roller stand. OMS
easily performs this task with its wide, similar surface.
- With OMS, the work piece will not take-off after the cut like a roller. Similar drag from the saw and the stand prevents this dangerous condition.
- With OMS, the work piece will not pop-up after the cut like a roller. Greater stand distance from the saw eliminates this problem.
- OMS has less drag than most extension tables due to the unique polymer surface.
- OMS can handle longer material than many extension tables because it is not attached to the saw.
- OMS does not require the committed space a table extension does – it folds up compactly
- OMS has
no moving parts.
- OMS has a large
offset adjusting screw which positively holds adjustment.
